A nip in the air

Lunar Underwing

In the end we didn't have a frost, quite, but there was a very sharp nip in the air and my breath was steaming as I emptied the moth trap. The full moon and clear sky was probably worse than the temperature, but two moths are better than no moths.

Lunar Underwing, Omphaloscelis lunosa.
