Tiny Tuesday - Sporetastic!

Sulphur Tuft spores

This is the smallest thing I've ever posted here, spores of Sulphur Tuft, Hypholoma fasciculare - wet mount, 6-7x4-4.5 µm, germinal pore, 800x magnification. Even though these fat spores are about 10 times bigger than the bacterial spores I'm used to squinting at, I'm pretty pleased with this image and to have been able to resolve them as well as this with a £100 microscope - but in the interest of disclosure, this is one of my best results so far, not one of the worst :-)
