Setaceous Hebrew Character

Setaceous Hebrew Character

How much do I like moths? Let me count the ways. Not the least significant reason is the marvellous Victorian names sported by the common macro moths. Setaceous - bristly (setae), Hebrew character - the black mark resembling the Hebrew letter nun or the forewings. Not a rare moth by any means, but what a glorious mouthful for bats and naturalists alike.

Setaceous Hebrew Character, Xestia c-nigrum.
