We're all doomed

Doomed

I watched this Mallard ducking growing increasingly desperate for nearly half an hour while I was photographing insects by the river. All that time I was expecting Mum to turn up at any minute but she never did. I don't know what the survival rate for Mallard hatchlings is but it's pretty low. There's no way to sugar coat this, just as with the result of the forthcoming general election, we're all doomed.
