Pussy Willow
It was only last year I finally realised the importance of Pussy Willow (sallow) as a source of nectar and pollen for insects in early spring. Given how easily willows root from cuttings, I grabbed these when I saw them on sale recently. Mooching about online, I was slightly surprised that The White Company wanted to sell me five stems for £35. Two quid for ten in Morrison's was much more my style.
