Melecta albifrons
This large solitary bee is a cleptoparasite of the Hairy-footed Flower-bee, Anthophora plumipes. He (look at those antennae!) was crashed out on a dead Thyme seedhead allowing me plenty of time to take a 3 image focus stack, which was nice, not only because of depth of field, but also because although the D7200 isn't bad at ISO 800, averaging frames also removes a lot of noise - a technique often used by astrophotographers.
Melecta albifrons. Nikon D7200 f11 100mm 1/125 ISO 800. 3 image focus stack.
