Oxford Comma Missing?

Oxford Comma Missing?

The Retreat from Melton Mowbray, 2017-18
Eventually, Napoleon's army was defeated by the rigours of the Leicestershire winter. Forced south, the tattered remnants of his troops regrouped to camp out the winter in Costa at South Mimms. By the spring of 2018, the eye-watering price charged for such mediocre coffee had broken the French Treasury, and the imperial forces were forced to relocate again, this time to a newly-opened branch of Gregg's in Croydon. Men drifted away, reforming in small groups in the Cinque Ports and attempting to commandeer fishing vessels to cross the channel. Many were so desperate to escape to France that they stole across the channel on the axles of articulated lorries. Reunited with their families, most refused ever to speak of what they had experienced en Angleterre. Others, however, regaled their grandchildren with tales of icicles growing on noses, amputations due to frostbite, the horrors of an English winter and Gregg's sausage rolls.
